About

Yoko Miki Chow is originally from Japan and has an innate passion for design given her lineage. She was raised in an artistic family composed of an architect father, textile designer mother, a sister who is a contemporary sculptor and a brother who is an executive chef and owner of a Vietnamese restaurant. After having lived and worked in Tokyo, Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong, New York City and Los Angeles, she has established her own design firm which represents her creative and compassionate approach to life and others.

Her exposure to overseas cultures left her with strong impressions of gleaming architectural works and design phenomenon around the globe. She has incorporated these influences into a thoughtful minimalist approach consistent with Japanese essence. Function, practicality and craftsmanship are equally valued in her style as much as its appearance. As an example, Yoko was close to her grandfather and as his needs evolved, this inspired her to create solutions for the geriatric community as another area of focus.

Yoko’s projects pay particular attention to details, yet inject comfort as a necessity as well. Similar to Feng Shui, she incorporates western scientific theories such as biophilia (the innate affiliation that humans have with nature), to create a pleasant livable space. Green elements and natural materials are often observed in her designs which promotes wellness and relaxation.

It’s truly her pleasure to bring what you imagine into reality across a broad spectrum of templates.
